Rissmaan – Thursday June 10, 2021; Ismail Gerami, a labor activist, was sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of Tehran to five years in prison with 74 lashes and a fine of two million tomans for conspiracy to commit a crime against national security.
The interrogation session of Ismail Gerami’s case was held on the morning of May 9th, on charges such as “disturbing public order and participating in an illegal gathering” at the Second Branch of the Evin Interrogation.
Ismail Gerami was arrested by security forces on March 7th, at the same time as the nationwide protests of retirees in the country, and a gathering of workers, teachers and retirees in front of the Ministry of Labor in Tehran, and was released a day later.
