Rissmaan – Tuesday, May 10, 2022: Behnam Moosivand, a civil activist, was returned to Evin Prison from Taleghani Hospital a few hours ago despite his poor physical condition. Behnam Moosivand was transferred to the hospital from the quarantine of Evin Prison on 6 April. Due to his poor general condition, Mr. Moosivand was sent to the hospital on the eighth day of his hunger strike. Behnam Moosivand went on a hunger strike on April 19 to protest the prison conditions. He ended his hunger strike in hospital after 16 days. Rajai Shahr prison officials beat him at the same time as he went on a hunger strike for refusing to be handcuffed while being taken to the hospital. He was transferred from Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj to the quarantine of Evin Prison on Monday, April 25th.
